The Vision
Solaris is a forward-thinking sustainable energy startup based in East Africa. The goal was to build a visual identity that felt authoritative enough for government contracts, yet warm and accessible enough for rural home-installation consumers.
The Challenge
Most energy brands in the region lean on cold, industrial blues and greys. Solaris needed to stand out by embracing the “Human Side” of power. The technical challenge was to create a design system that scaled from high-resolution billboards to low-fidelity mobile apps used on entry-level smartphones.
The Solution
- Color Palette: Developed a signature “Golden Hour” gradient that represents reliability and the optimism of renewable energy.
- Typography: Selected a blend of sophisticated Serif headings for trust and clean Sans-Serif body text for digital clarity.
- Modular Assets: Engineered a library of SVG icons that remain sharp and legible at very small sizes, crucial for the project’s mobile-first user base.
The Impact
- Successfully secured a $2M seed round following the brand reveal.
- Achieved a 40% increase in brand recognition across pilot regions.
- Established a scalable digital framework that now powers their entire customer onboarding portal.
